The Hempsation Fields facility is a new 8,400-square-foot pre-engineered Metallic metal building, with 1,400 square feet of office and 7,000 square feet of production space. The project also includes a large seed dryer for drying hemp seed. The production area can be used both for growing product and for further production equipment.
This design-build project features a highly-energy efficient building that was a relatively straight forward construction project. However, there were challenges early on in the project with the Reedsburg Industrial Park site that was chosen for development. The site required extensive soil remediation due to site and civil challenges. The project took four months to construct and was completed in time for production in the Fall of 2019, but due to early onset of cold weather, the final asphalt parking lot and landscaping weren’t completed until the Spring of 2020.
