The Friede Team returned to Kalahari Resorts in The Wisconsin Dells for the renovation of the Double Cut Steak House and creation of Redd’s Piano Bar.

For the past 40 years, the Friede Team has excelled in providing highly-customized solutions as well as simple, low-complexity pre-engineered metal structures. Since 2015, we have been part of Metallic Building System’s Authorized Builder Network, and recently, we were named as one of Metallic’s Top 25 Metal Building Dealers in the United States.

2021 proved to be quite a year for Friede & Associates. While we constructed more projects than in recent history, dealt with labor and material shortages and endeavored to meeting demanding schedules despite poor weather and the normal issues that arise on any jobsite, we also managed to amass quite a few new trophies!

NAIOP’s Wisconsin Trailblazer Award was awarded to Carole Schaeffer, Vice President of Business Development at Friede & Associates. Carole is only the second member to receive the Wisconsin Trailblazer Award, which is presented for extraordinary leadership and innovation in advancing the mission of NAIOP Wisconsin.

The project proved again the advantage of engaging the contractor early in the process, having their own crews self-perform certain tasks and providing the value-added services that Friede & Associates provides their clients.

Constructing a two-building, three-story housing project with a new client and architect, who were both located out-of-state and had never worked together, proved nearly as challenging as the tight, half-block jobsite that would become the home of the Walnut Street Flats in downtown Reedsburg, Wisconsin.

If the second half of 2020 turns out to be half as exciting and crazy as the first six months for Friede & Associates—a commercial general contractor serving the southern half of Wisconsin—then this year will be remembered for much more than just their 75th anniversary.

Building a commercial construction project is a complex process that involves many disciplines, a lot of time, a significant amount of coordination and a substantial investment. Over the 75 years we have been serving Wisconsin businesses, we have found the three biggest concerns of most owners are:
