Truck Drive / Maintenance Technician

The Position:

We have an immediate, full-time opening for a Truck Driver/Maintenance Technician to join our team of professionals.

With both carpentry and concrete crews still a part of our business, our 45-person firm has completed projects in nearly every industry, and with virtually every type of construction, including tilt-up, structural steel, pre-engineered steel, penalization and wood construction. But today our firm is best known for its work from The Wisconsin Dells/Lake Delton area south to Madison and beyond.

Wage Range: $25-$35/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete delivery of materials and equipment to jobsites

  • Load and unload materials and equipment at jobsites

  • Adhere to all CDL regulations and safety procedures

  • Preventative maintenance of equipment

  • Troubleshooting and repair of equipment

  • Maintaining equipment and vehicle maintenance documentation

  • Adhere to safety regulations and procedures

  • Communicate with team members on parts and supply needs

Essential Skills:

  • Maintain and comply with traffic laws and regulations

  • Technical proficiency: Understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems

  • Mechanical aptitude: Strong hands-on skills, experience in performing repairs and maintenance

  • Analytical skills: Able to reach and interpret technical manuals and blueprints

  • Problem solving skills

  • Clear communication skills

  • Attention to details

Physically, workers must be able to: see well (either naturally or with correction); coordinate the movements of eyes, hands, and fingers; Picture 6, Pictureclimb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, pull or work at heights as required; frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds or more; constantly use handheld vibrating power equipment for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions, such as extreme heat, cold, or rain. Also, must be able to work in dirt, dust, smoke, or fumes.

Necessary Education & Experience Qualifications:

  • Current CDL license (Class A ) required.

  • High school diploma preferred.

  • Must be willing to perform tasks in other job classifications as work allows.
