Cold Water Canyon Clubhouse Fire Restoration

Cold Water Canyon Clubhouse Fire Restoration | 2015 ABC of Wisconsin Gold Project of Distinction Award | Friede & Associates

Project Scope: Fire restoration
Location: Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin
Designer: Architectural Design Consultants, Inc.

The 8,000-square-foot Cold Water Canyon Clubhouse project, featuring a new restaurant with seating for up to 160, was built to replace the former, smaller clubhouse that was destroyed by a fire in 2014.

The beautiful, new facility features extensive wood and stone finishes and offers spectacular views of the golf course and Chula Vista Resort from both The Tavern Restaurant and the expansive patio that surrounds the building. Friede & Associates not only served as the contractor but also assisted Chula Vista Resort with all of the negotiations with the insurance company in settling the fire restoration claim.

The new design offered some unique challenges as it was determined to utilize exposed wood trusses and a high degree of wood finishes in the pro shop, bar, and dining area. Extensive windows were also designed into the project to offer great views of the golf course and the Chula Vista Resort.

This project was recognized by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin as a 2015 Gold Project of Distinction.
