Safety is part of the culture at Friede & Associates
Safety is our primary concern at Friede & Associates. Our goal is to achieve zero safety incidents on our jobsites, and we have been very successful at reaching that goal. We have not had an OSHA citation since 1979. With the increase of OSHA citations nationwide, this is no small statement. We've managed this by having a sound safety plan for each project and by putting that plan into action, both for our own employees as well as all of our subcontractors.
We have been an active member in the Four County Safety Council for the past 40 years and have been a member of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) since it began. Since 2004, we have achieved Gold status seven times and Silver four times. We have only had one lost time accident and went more than a dozen years between injuries since 2002.
Friede & Associates safety program was featured in the December 2009 issue of Construction Business Owner magazine. The “How Your Construction Company Can Make Safety Pay” article profiled the company's safety efforts and detailed safety program.
President Roger Friede was also honored by the National Safety Council as one of their nine leaders across the country who demonstrate a personal commitment to worker safety and health in their February 2015 cover story, 2015 CEOs Who “Get It”. [Read the article here]
